Non-Profit Spotlight: Cambridge College
For more than 45 years Cambridge College has been pioneering adult learning. With a main campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and four regional locations nationwide, Cambridge College makes college degrees possible while balancing work and family, with a path to graduation that is often accelerated.
Cambridge College is an accredited private, nonprofit institution (so not a diploma mill leaving people in debt with useless degrees that you read about in the paper) that depends on a robust scholarship program to keep the programs accessible.
In 2003, at 28 years old, I started my first day of college (I was so scared I made Pam come with me!) Not only did I earn my degree, but I also learned so much about myself – and gained the confidence to go on to earn my MBA.
The classes are small, the instructors incredible, and with nights and weekend courses available, I was able to complete my degree in under 4 years – while working full time.
We are so honored to be fundraising with Cambridge College. With the expansion of online degrees, it is important to share the work that Cambridge College is doing – in the classroom. While on-line learning is a great option, there is something so important to be experienced spending time in classrooms discussing diverse viewpoints – and there is a lot of value to being an adult student!
Congratulations to Cambridge College on celebrating 45 Years of excellence. May you continue to offer options to those who are willing to step up and conquer their fears.
